Dr.B.ThamaraiSelvi

She has 24 years of teaching and research experience. She started her career as lecturer in 1996 and currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Microbiology. She has been selected as Chairperson for PG Board of Studies, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. She serves as BoS member of various colleges. She is an inspection committee member of Bharathiar University. She was a Visiting Professor, Sri Ramakrishna Nursing College for the period of 2005- 2012. She has been a member of organizing committee involved in the training program for school teachers for National Children’s Congress conducted by Tamil Nadu Science forum. She is the Science Expect in Doctoral committee of many Colleges. She is a certified ISO 9001:2000 auditor. She has lifetime member of professional bodies like Indian Association of Applied Microbiologist and Association of Microbiologist of India. She is a reviewer and editor of many journals.

Under her guidance 6 scholars are pursuing their Ph.D. She has guided 15 M.Phil scholars and 68 PG students. She has one patent. Her project has been selected by the Expert committee members for preliminary funding assistance for seed money project, sanctioned by the Management. Under her guidance her students received TNSCST Project. She has presented research papers in various national and international conferences. She has attended hands on training programs in Molecular, Recombinant and Immunological techniques. She contributed in publishing several research articles in national and international reputed journals.
