Education Profile
Reshmi Gopalakrishnan received her MPhil degree in Microbiology from Bharathidasan University, Post Graduate and Under Graduate degree in Microbiology, also an Advance Diploma in Bioinformatics from Dr.GRD College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore affiliated to Bharathiar University. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D in Microbiology under Bharathiar University.
Academic & Research Profile
She has a teaching experience of 14 years. She has attended training program in Production & Quality control of Rabies & DTP vaccines at Pasteur Institute, Coonor and in Molecular biology & Electrophoresis. She is a certified ISO9001:2000 internal quality auditor. She has been a member of Association of Microbiologist of India and life member of Indian association of Applied Microbiologist. She has been a member of organizing committee involved in the training program for school teachers for National Children’s Congress conducted by Tamil Nadu Science forum. She has served as member of Board of Studies for Under Graduate Programme in Microbiology under Bharathiar University.
Her research area includes Bioprocess Technology and Environmental Microbiology. She has guided 47 research scholars till date. She has attended and presented papers and posters in several national seminars & conferences, also won prize for poster presentation on “Biodegradation of Lignin from paper pulp waste effluent by native microorganisms” at National conference on Dynamic Microbes: Role in human welfare held at Pune. She has undergone Internship in the field of Nanotechnology and also participated in the IIC Online sessions conducted by Institution’s Innovation cell of MHRD’s Innovation Cell, New Delhi to promote Innovation, IPR, Entrepreneurship and start-ups among HEIs. She has submitted project proposals under DBT scheme for creating awareness on COVID-19.
