Vigilance Awareness
NCC 5TN Girls Battalion was inaugurated in our college on 05.05.2021. It was started from 26.12.2020 onwards. The National Cadet Crops of the college and NSS, YRC & NCC jointly conducted the Vigilance Awareness Session on 29.10.2021. The Chief guest Mr. A. Ravi Chandran, Regional Manager (Inspection),Retd., discussed the dire urgency of the individuals and organizations to work together to eradicate the menace of corruption from our day to day activities. He also insisted on the needs of citizens to be vigilant and commit themselves to the standards of honesty and integrity at all times to support the fight against corruption.
NCC Day Celebration
Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science for Women conducted a motivational session on “The Role of NCC in Transforming Lives” at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, R.S. Puram. The session was conducted by the cadets for 8th and 9th standard students. The cadets were accompanied by the NCC Care taker, Dr. J. Subashini. The cadets spent time interacting with the students explaining about the Benefits of NCC, the role it plays in transforming lives and also shared their own experiences at the camps with them. At the end of the session, the interest of the students wanting to join NCC peaked. It was a memorable experience for the cadets, thanks to the hospitality of the schools management and the active participation and eagerness of the students.
Accolades
THAL SAINIK CAMP Senior Under Officer Lavanya N. was selected to represent the Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Andaman and Nicobar Directorate in the All India Thal Sainik Camp, conducted at Garrison Parade Ground, Delhi. She won 1st Place at the All-India Level under Health and Hygiene Category. She was honoured with a gold medal for her Achievement by the DG NCC.
Our cadets won First Place in Drill & Volleyball Competitions, Second Place in Group Dance Competition and Cadets Nivetha B S and Madhavi K Nishol won First Place in Solo Dance Competition & Competition, and Cadet Madhavi K Nishol won First Place in Solo Song Competition competed with 15 Colleges conducted by 5TN girls BTN NCC at Bannari Amman Institute of Technology.
National Voter's Day - Pledge
The National Cadet Corps conducted a pledge taking ceremony for the National Voter’s Day. The students took oath to vote properly as a citizen of the nation for elections. They promised to vote without any discrimination in the society.
