Dr. Anandhi. M

Dr. Anandhi Manickam has 19 years of teaching experience and 10 years of research experience to her credit. She obtained her Doctorate in a multi-disciplinary dimension with Literature and Psychology from Bharathiar University. She also has an M.Phil degree specializing in Afro-American Literature. Her areas of Research interest include Health Humanities, Ecocriticism, Race Studies, Queer theory, Neuro aesthetics and Cognitive Literary Studies.

She is a proud alumnus of Nirmala College, Coimbatore where she completed her Under Graduation with 4th Rank at the Bharathiar University Level. She also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Stella Matutina College of Education, Chennai, with 9th Rank from the University of Madras. She has an honors Degree with ‘Grade A’ in Software Management from the National Institute of Information Technology (GNIIT), New Delhi. She is a qualified BEC Trainer with a BEC-Vantage Certificate, commendable TKT –Teaching Knowledge Test certified by Cambridge University.

She is a panel member of the Doctoral Committee at the Department of English & Foreign Languages, Bharathiar University. She is also a member on the panel for TANSCHE (Bharathiar University) for authoring Professional English for Physical Sciences Text Book, approved by the Govt of Tamil Nadu.She serves as BoS member for UG-General English (April 2025 onwards )at Bharathiar University and on the BoS-English of KASC, Erode and Hindusthan CAS,Cbe respectively. She is an associate Editor of ‘The Dawn’- A Multidisciplinary Journal. She has published 28 papers in UGC -CARE I Journals, 2 in SCOPUS Indexed Journals and has presented 45 papers in National and International conferences. She has published chapters in 8 books, and has organized 82 seminars 15 workshops and several FDP programmes and has attended 37 National & International conferences and 16 FDP Programmes including MMTTP organized Programmes on Indian Knowledge System (IKS).

She has tapped Rs 2,80,000 for a Minor Research project from UGC as a grant-in-aid fund for a project on ‘Reading Habits’. She has also completed 3 QIP Courses on Teaching-Learning strategies. She is a Teacher Member of ELT@I Coimbatore Chapter, member of Memory Studies Association-IIT Madras, Member of ELTIF and AESI (Association for English Studies in India).

She serves as the Editor of The College Magazine ‘Anveshana’ and ‘Imprints’ the News-Letter of Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science for Women. She has served as a Resource Person in several National and State Level seminars & Conferences, English Literary Clubs and National Level Elocution Competitions. She has been one of the Resource persons of RUSA-BEICH 2.0 Scheme. She is an avid writer and has a creative writing page on FB, Autumn Leaves @poemsrandom.

She has also published a collection of her poems entitled “Autumn Leaves-Vol 1” and has compiled and Edited 4 books namely Newer Perspectives in Indian Writings in English, Popular culture in Indian writings ,Common wealth Literature and Language, Literature, Culture and AI. She has received copyrights for her latest book “Songs Unspoken-Vol I”.
