Dr. D. Padmavathi serves as the Vice-Principal, Professor, and Dean of School of Commerce at Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science for Women. With over 33 years of distinguished academic experience, she has been associated with the institution since 1994, contributing significantly to teaching, research, and academic administration.

A University First Rank holder in both B.Com. and M.Com. from Bharathiar University, Dr. Padmavathi qualified the UGC National Eligibility Test (Lectureship) in 1992. Her research specialization is in Marketing, with academic interests spanning Accounting, Taxation, and Business Analytics.

As a recognized research supervisor, she has successfully guided 21 M.Phil. scholars and 3 Ph.D. candidates, and is currently supervising 2 doctoral researchers. Her scholarly contributions include 35 research publications in national and international journals, authorship of 2 books, and contributions to 10 book chapters and conference proceedings.

Dr. Padmavathi has actively participated in numerous national and international conferences. Her research excellence has been recognized through the Best Paper Award at the International Conference on Humanities, Technology and Science (ICHTS 2019), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and the Best Research Award from the Nature Science Foundation, Coimbatore, for her work in environmental marketing. She has also completed a UGC-funded Research Project.

An accomplished academic leader, she has served as a resource person, session chair, and rapporteur at various seminars, workshops, and conferences. She has been a Senate Member of Bharathiar University and has contributed to academic governance through her roles on Academic Councils and Boards of Studies of several autonomous colleges and universities across Tamil Nadu.
