Dr.R.Renuka is currently working as an Associate Professor & Head In-charge in the Department of Biochemistry. She has 18 years of teaching and 15 years of research experience. She has Completed Training on "IPR & Technology Transfer" conducted as a part of IIC Innovation Ambassador Training Series Organized by MHRD’s Innovation Cell. She has completed 3 MOOC courses offered by Swayam Platform, certificate course on Patent Drafting (PAT Draft’2017) offered by Centre for Intellectual Property Rights, Anna University, Chennai and has qualified a certificate course in Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL), ESOL Experts in Language Assessment examinations offered by University of Cambridge, United Kingdom. She has also attended several FDPS, workshops and hands on training conducted by various organizations. She has delivered sessions on IPR for faculty and students.

Her research areas include Medicinal plants and therapeutics. She has published 21 articles in International Journals and is a Lifetime member in Society of Biological Chemist (India), Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. She has participated and presented papers in 6 International and 12 National Conferences. She has received fund from Tamil Nadu State Council for Science and Technology (TNSCST) Students Project Scheme and management sponsored Seed fund for students. She has been recognized for Faculty Best Performance & Citation Award for the year 2010-2011 and 2011-2012 in RVS CAS, Sulur. She has received best paper presentation awards in International Conference on Herbal and Natural components as the future of Pharmacology held at Avinashilingam University, National Seminar on Advances in Biological Sciences Research held at Nirmala College for Women and International Conference on Exploration of Biological Techniques in Life Sciences (ICEBTLS- 2021) organized by the Department of Biotechnology, RVS CAS & Supported Under DBT- Star Scheme, New Delhi. She has received Copyrights for the topic “Characterization and In Silico Molecular Docking Studies of alpha amylase inhibitor Compounds from Trigonella foenum graecum Seed Extracts” Date of Registration:20.09.2024, Registration No: L-153977/2024.
