Dr.B.Thamarai Selvi has 28 years of Academic Experience and 25 years of Research experience. She is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Microbiology. Her area of research interest includes herbal medicines, antimicrobial textiles and bio dyes. She has presented various Research Papers in National and International Conferences and also received a best paper award. Currently Six Research scholars are perusing research under her guidance. She has attended hands-on training programs in Molecular, Recombinant and Immunological techniques. She has contributed to publishing several Research Articles in National and International reputed journals. She is a certified ISO 9001:2000 auditor. She has lifetime Member of professional bodies like the Indian Association of Applied Microbiologists and the Association of Microbiologists of India. She has received a funded project from the National Council for Science and Technology Communication, Department of Science and Technology. She is having one patent and submitted four bacterial DNA sequences in NCBI.
