The Department of Computer Science successfully organized FutureMinds: Innovating for Sustainability on 6 & 7 August 2026 at 9:30 AM. The two-day event brought together school students from various institutions to participate in a series of engaging activities focused on innovation, technology, and sustainable development. The inaugural function was presided over by Dr. K. Chitra, Principal, and the Chief Guest, Mr. R. Gunasekaran, Corporation Educational Officer, Coimbatore, emphasized the importance of innovation, scientific thinking, and sustainable solutions in shaping the future. The programme featured a Hackathon, AI Workshop, Industry Talk, and technical competitions, providing participants with hands-on learning experiences and opportunities to apply their knowledge to real-world problems. Students collaborated in teams, presented innovative ideas, and enhanced their technical, communication, and leadership skills. The event successfully promoted an innovation ecosystem among school students and encouraged them to explore careers in science, technology, engineering, and entrepreneurship while contributing to sustainable development.
The Department of Computer Science, Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts & Science for Women (Autonomous), organized FutureMinds: Innovating for Sustainability, a two-day innovation programme sponsored by DST-FIST in association with the Institution's Innovation Council (IIC).
