TAMIL ILLAKIYA PERAVAI a literary Association of the Department of Tamil is an active association in the Institution, aiming at organizing events to expose the students to moral ethical values Knowledge in Literature, Creativity and skill Development Activities through Guest Lectures, Workshops, Seminars, National and International Conferences etc.
As part of the association, our department has signed an MoU with Tamil Research Foundation & Innam International Journal of Tamil Studies for conducting International Conferences & Workshops based on Tamil Language in the past five academic years. The department has organised 20 Guest Lectures, 6 Workshops, 4 Seminars, 4 International Conferences & 6 motivational talks inviting experts in the relevant fields focusing on Ethics, Literature and Language skill development etc.
In addition for a holistic development of individuals, Book Reviews, Literary Competitions such as Poetry Writing, Essay Writing, Elocution, Paper Presentations, Literary Drama and Folk Dance etc are organized throughout the year. The association also conducts Traditional Cultural Festival to teach our students about our heritage.
