Institution Innovation Council

To foster the culture of Innovation and Entrepreneurship among the students, IIC of Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts & Science for Women organises various Workshops.seminars,hackathon, competitions related to Innovation and entrepreneurship. The events not only impart Knowledge among the student’s but also induce to generate new innovate ideas and leads further to convert idea into prototype.

IIC Events

  • National Science Day Celebration was celebrated on 28 th February 2022. The chief guest was Dr. R.
    Rajendran, Associate Professor, Department of Microbiology, PSG College of Arts & Science,
    Coimbatore. Poster making and Model making competitions was organized and cash prize was
    awarded for the winners.
  • Workshop on “ Entrepreneurship Skill, Attitude and Behaviour Development Phases” was organized on on 15th December, 2021. Ms. Timple Luloo, Managing Director -Fugle Pharma & Founder – Acu-Neuro Clinic, Coimbatore was the chief guest.
  • My Story was organized on 10 th November, 2021. The chief guest was Mr. Swarajit Alakananda, CEO-Fix your Gadgets, MD- SIEW Technologies, Founder Volunteer – So Aware, Coimbatore.December, 2020. Ms. Aafreen, Proprietor, Aaf’s Bakehouse, Coimbatore was the chief guest.

Achievements

  • Out of 18 teams, two teams were selected for the grand finale of Smart India Hackathon held on 2nd and 3rd March 2019 at Varanasi and Chattisgarh.
  • S.Sushmitha (Team leader), G.Hamsadhwani, P.Ashmitha , A.Neha sharma from III B.Sc Computer Science, T.Rakitha from III BCA and M.Shanmugapriya from II B.Com(PA) mentored by Dr.S.Preetha Associate professor and Mr.Senthil Kumar, Technical Architect, TCS Innovation lab, Bangalore won first prize of Rs.75,000/- in the 36 hours Smart India Hackathon 2019 held at Banaras Hindu University,Varanasi.
  • Pavithra Selvan (Team leader), Varshini Dakshinamoorthy, Gayathri Sabareeswaran, Keerthika Selvaraj, Saranya Marimuthu, and Priyanka kannan from I M.Sc Microbiology mentored Dr.M.Mekala Associate professor won first prize of Rs.50,000/- in the 36 hours Smart India Hackathon 2019 held at Chhattisgarh, Pune.
